South Africa ranks 10th in the world for suicide rates, with men facing an alarming rate of 37.6 per 100,000.
Following on from our men’s mental health series in June, Deputy Director of SAFMH Leon de Beer, recently spoke with Re:solve Talks podcast host Hetal Baman about the societal pressures contributing to this mental health crisis. In the episode, they explored how stigma is affecting access to care and how communities can take action to prevent suicides.
