SAFMH Sheds Light On Loadshedding Impact on Mental Health

SAFMH Project Leader: Advocacy & Awareness, Michel’le Donnelly, shared the organisation’s view on the the negative impact loadshedding is having on the mental wellbeing of South Africans for the Sunday Times.

Speaking with Paige Muller, Michel’le confirmed that prolonged exposure to negative emotions like sadness and fear increase the risk of mental health problems such as anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder.
