Chizembi Sakulanda Takes On Midmar Mile In Support Of Mental Health

SAFMH News Room

On 11 & 12 February 2023, Chizembi Sakulanda will be taking part in the Midmar Mile in Kwa-Zulu Natal and he’s doing it all in the name of raising awareness for social justice issues, including mental health.

Sakulanda, a swimming enthusiast, wanted to use his return to the Midmar Mile as a way to highlight important work being done in the mental health space. He also wants people to know that “it’s okay to not be okay”.

Listen to Chizembi chat with SAFMH Project Leader: Advocacy & Awareness, Michel’le Donnelly, below.

You can support Chizembi and our work here at SAFMH by heading to his givengain page. Show your support for people affected by mental health issues and donate today.
