To round off World Mental Health Month 2024, the South African Federation for Mental Health (SAFMH) hosted a lunchtime webinar on Wednesday, 30 October 2024, focused on practical strategies to prioritise mental health in the workplace, including suitable reasonable accommodations and mental health policies to ensure mentally healthy workplaces.
Moderated by Bharti Patel (National Executive Director at SAFMH), the panel featured:
- Hermina Patton – Human Resource and Business Ethics consultant and expert in employment legislation
- Dr Ingrid Daniels – CEO of community-based mental health organisation, Cape Mental Health, and past president of the World Federation for Mental Health
- Santhana Pillay – Organisational Development Specialist at Minopex
We had a wonderful discussion with many useful insights shared by the speakers. A huge THANK YOU to our panel as well as all who made time to attend the session. You can find a copy of Hermina’s presentation here and Ingrid’s presentation here.
